Don Nickles is a former United States Senator from Oklahoma who served from 1981 to 2005. He was born on December 6, 1948, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Nickles was a member of the Republican Party and was known for his conservative views.
During his time in the Senate, Nickles focused on issues such as taxes, healthcare, national defense, and energy policy. He served as the Senate Minority Whip from 1996 to 2001 and was known for his ability to whip votes and rally support within the Republican Party.
